Dear ICP Members, Colleagues, and Friends,
For more than four decades, the ICP has served as a trusted international forum and global community where scientific excellence, innovation, and collaboration have fostered lasting professional connections across borders. In today’s rapidly evolving field of prosthodontics, this exchange of knowledge and shared expertise is more important than ever, directly benefiting our members and the patients we serve. The strength of our College lies in its diversity, collegiality, and commitment to advancing patient care.
Serving as your Co-Presidents is both a privilege and a responsibility that we deeply value. We are grateful to the many leaders who have guided the College throughout its history and established the strong foundation upon which we continue to build. We are equally inspired by the dedication, expertise, and enthusiasm of our members across all regions and stages of their professional careers.
Prosthodontics is evolving rapidly, driven by advances in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, biomaterials, regenerative therapies, and interdisciplinary patient care. At the same time, our profession faces important challenges related to education, workforce development, access to care, and the oral health needs of an aging global population. These developments call for strong scientific exchange, shared expertise, and collective solutions across our specialty, which are core elements of the ICP’s mission.
As we look toward the future, our efforts will focus on four key priorities that reflect the mission and values of the ICP:
· Enhancing Member Value. Expanding educational opportunities, digital resources, and professional benefits that support our members throughout their careers.
· Advancing Scientific Exchange. Promoting the global dissemination of evidence-based knowledge through innovative educational programs, collaborative initiatives, and world-class scientific meetings.
· Strengthening International Collaboration. Building meaningful professional networks and fostering partnerships among institutions, educators, researchers, and clinicians around the world.
· Supporting Future Leaders. Empowering residents, graduate students, and early-career professionals by creating meaningful opportunities for them to actively participate in the life, activities, and leadership of the ICP. Their ideas, energy, and unique perspectives are vital to shaping the future of prosthodontics and our College.
Supporting Future Leaders requires a strong and sustainable organization. We are therefore committed to strengthening the College’s foundations by promoting transparency, continuity, and effective governance across our operations and member services. In doing so, we aim to ensure that future generations inherit an even stronger and more vibrant ICP.
The success of these initiatives depends greatly on the dedication of our committees and volunteers. We sincerely thank the many colleagues who generously contribute their time, expertise, and passion in service to the ICP.
Looking Ahead to Helsinki 2027
One of the greatest strengths of the ICP is the opportunity to come together as a global community. We are therefore delighted to invite you to our next flagship scientific event:
The 22nd ICP Biennial Meeting Helsinki, Finland August 25–28, 2027
We extend our sincere appreciation to Professor Arzu Tezvergil-Mutluay, Chair of the Conference Organizing Committee, and the Helsinki organizing team for their vision, leadership, and tremendous efforts in preparing this exciting event. We are equally grateful to Professor Hiroshi Egusa, Chair of the Scientific Program Committee, and his international team for their dedication and creativity in developing an outstanding scientific program.
This international gathering will bring together leading clinicians, researchers, educators, and industry partners from around the world to share cutting-edge research, exchange innovative ideas, and explore the future of prosthodontic care. Reflecting the breadth of contemporary prosthodontics, the program will span fundamental science, translational research, clinical innovation, digital technologies, interdisciplinary care, and emerging approaches that will shape the future of oral rehabilitation. With its rich cultural heritage, outstanding academic environment, and renowned Nordic hospitality, Helsinki will provide an exceptional setting for learning, scientific exchange, and professional fellowship.
We encourage all members, residents, and colleagues worldwide to mark their calendars and begin preparing their scientific contributions for what promises to be an outstanding meeting.
The strength and vitality of the ICP depend on the active engagement, ideas, and commitment of its members. We warmly encourage your active participation in our educational programs, scientific initiatives, committees, and meetings as we continue to advance our specialty and strengthen our global community.
As Co-Presidents, we are committed to building upon the proud legacy of the ICP while embracing new opportunities for scientific advancement, partnership, and professional growth. Together, we will ensure that the ICP remains the premier international forum for prosthodontic education, research, and scientific exchange, fostering excellence and improving patient care worldwide.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and dedication to the ICP. We look forward to welcoming you to Helsinki in 2027 and to working together to shape the future of prosthodontics.
With our warmest regards,
